Three skincare awards picked up by Cornish brand

Innovative, honest and ethical Cornish skincare brand Spiezia Organics is now a ‘Double Award Winner’ after triumphing at the FreeFrom Skincare Awards 2014 which is now in its third year.

Intended to reward and further encourage skincare products manufacturers the awards highlight ‘free from’ products that do not contain additives, fragrances associated with skin sensitivities, allergens, as well as addressing health, environmental and ethical concerns.

Amanda Barlow, founder and entrepreneur of Spiezia commented; “We had such a great time as a team in London working flat out on our busy stand. When we heard the news we had won not just one but two awards we were all so thrilled.” Amanda adds, “Receiving accreditation for our commitment to ethical, environmental and health concerns along with being recognised as experts in skincare, in particular for sensitivities and allergies, is a great reward.”

The awards were presented at The Love Natural, Love Organic Show at London Olympia, by special guest ‘Imperfectly Natural’ beauty and holistic health guru, Janey Lee Grace.

The announcements followed a long, four-stage judging process which culminated in a rigorous month-long assessment by testers recruited by the FreeFrom Skincare Awards’ associates, the Ultimate Natural Beauty Bible.
Spiezia’s Calendula Ointment and Lemon and Marigold Soap won Bronze in family skincare and hard soap categories, testers commented:
“Lovely product and very good on dry areas; good for mum and baby” “extremely versatile for children” “Very good on sensitive skin” “Smelt lovely and uplifting and left a very light, natural fragrance, lathered up very well, cleansed extremely well. Left skin feeling soft and cleansed”

Not only did Amanda enter her own products to win, she also generously became a Show Sponsor for the Body Care (Leave On) category awarding the following companies with Gold, Silver and Bronze respectively; Toulou Organics, Eve of St Agnes and Pure Lakes Skincare. (Photograph attached)
